It's the day before we depart for South Carolina. We have taken our professional photos (included below) and news outlets have began to report on what our group is set out to work on (links to article included below). I am feeling excited, nervous, motivated, and overall grateful that I get to be a part of this program. We have been reading about presidential elections in our textbook The Road to the Whitehouse 2024: The Politics of Presidential Elections by Stephen J. Wayne, and about South Carolina in our other textbook First in the South: Why South Carolina's Presidential Primary Matters by Knotts and Ragusa, in preparation for our trip. We have a full itinerary in South Carolina between campaign work, field trips, and seminar meetings. I look forward to documenting them all on my blog.
